Its communication protocol complies with Fibre Channel and IEEE 802.3, the interface protocol complies with SFF-8472, and the packaging protocol complies with SFP+MSA. 8G FC SFP+ optical modules are widely used in Fibre Channel networks, especially in storage area networks (SANs) and high-performance computing environments.
